☀️ 🚘 As a reminder for the summer months and beyond, never leave your child in a parked car. Cars can heat up very quickly and children's bodies heat up 3 to 5 times faster than an adult's does. Once a child's body temperature reaches 104 degrees Fahrenheit (F), their organs begin shutting down, which can lead to fatal risks.

With summer around the corner, your kids might be spending more time near and in the pool. As drowning is one of the leading causes of deaths for children ages 1-4, it's important to follow safety precautions to protect your kids. 💦
Younger children are especially more vulnerable to drowning as they are naturally drawn to water. They should always be supervised by an adult whenever near any body of water. If there's a pool nearby, it should be fenced properly so that your child can't get through. Installing an alarm is also recommend. 🚨
For more information on safety precautions and how to fence the pool properly, check out this guide. 👇

While anxiety can affect kids of all ages, it usually affects teenagers differently than younger children. You might also notice different signs and triggers during the adolescent years, even if your child has always been anxious. 😰
Teens can be good at hiding their feelings, making it harder to see the symptoms. They are also more likely to turn to harmful behaviors, such as substance use, to manage their anxiety.
For #mentalhealthawarenessmonth, we recommend checking out this guide and video for information on how anxiety impacts teens, the signs to look out for, and how you can help your kid get the treatment they need. 👇
